It all began with a swipe in 2022. When Melissa and Davide matched on a dating app, neither of them knew they were about to embark on the greatest adventure of their lives. But from the moment they met, it was clear—they had found something special.
Melissa, a born-and-raised New Yorker with deep Italian roots—her father was born in Italy, and her mother, though born in New York, comes from an Italian family—felt an instant connection with Davide, who had moved to New York from Italy in 2007. Their shared heritage, love of good food, and appreciation for both the fast-paced energy of the city and the beauty of Italian traditions made their bond even stronger.
On their very first date, they talked about their love for travel and the places they dreamed of visiting. One of those places was Japan, a destination that became even more meaningful when, in May 2024, while exploring the beautiful city of Kyoto, Davide asked Melissa to spend forever with him. She said yes, and so began the next chapter of their incredible journey together.
Now, they’re bringing their love story full circle, saying ‘I do’ in Davide’s hometown in Sarnico, Italy. With Melissa’s family rooted in both Italy and New York and Davide’s parents still in Italy, it’s the perfect place to unite their families and start this new chapter together.
